Sunrift is seeking a detail-oriented Order Entry Specialist to support its retail operations by accurately processing customer orders, maintaining order records, and coordinating with sales, inventory, and fulfillment teams. This remote position is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing order information independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately enter and process customer orders into company systems.
- Review orders for product details, quantities, pricing, shipping information, and customer details.
- Verify product availability and coordinate with inventory teams regarding backorders or unavailable items.
- Update order status and customer information in internal systems.
- Process order changes, cancellations, returns, and exchanges.
- Maintain accurate digital records of orders, invoices, and related documentation.
- Communicate with customers regarding order details and fulfillment when necessary.
- Monitor pending orders and follow up to ensure timely processing.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between orders and inventory records.
- Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and fulfillment teams to ensure accurate order processing.
- Respond to internal inquiries and assist with administrative tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling customer and business information.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order entry, data processing, retail, customer service, or administrative support preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, point-of-sale systems, and order-management software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while working remote.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with team members.
- Familiarity with outdoor recreation, sporting goods, or specialty retail is a plus.
